Description

Bao Hua Stories (寶話故事) is a bilingual storytelling service for Chinese American families, built to capture aging parents' stories in the language they think and feel in, before those stories are lost.

The problem: parents are most themselves in Mandarin, and their kids are most fluent in English. The deepest family stories sit behind that language gap. Bao Hua closes it.

How it works:
1) The adult child signs up and picks a prompt from a library written specifically for immigrant families: the village they left, the decision to come to America, the food of home, the work and sacrifice no one talks about.
2) The parent gets a message, in Chinese, and simply replies. No app to download, no account, no learning curve.
3) A warm AI interviewer chats with them, asking natural follow-up questions to draw out the real details, the way a curious grandchild would. Not a form to fill out. A conversation.
4)That conversation becomes a polished, memoir-quality story in both Chinese and English, side by side. Not a literal translation, but a real story that keeps the parent's voice.
Stories collect in a private family space and can be compiled into a bilingual hardcover book to keep and pass down.

What makes it different: it's the only service built for Chinese families, with culturally specific prompts, real Chinese printing, and an AI that interviews rather than just transcribes. The result is family stories you'd never have heard otherwise, and an heirloom your children will still open in fifty years.
